Dr. med. Lothar Böckler

Dr. med. Lothar Böckler initially studied biology at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main and changed to the field of medicine after his pre-diploma. After his state examination and doctorate, he continued his training as a specialist in general medicine. He completed this in the clinics of the Main-Taunus district in Bad Soden, the Alice Hospital in Darmstadt and the Medical Clinic III of the Justus Liebig University in Gießen.

 

Since 1991, Dr. Böckler has worked at the Sportklinik Frankfurt (formerly the Sportmedizinisches Institut Frankfurt) in the Department of Internal Medicine and Performance Diagnostics. Here he specialized in preventive examinations and sport-specific performance diagnostics (certificate lactate diagnostics of the DGSP).

 

He is a member of the Hessian Sports Physicians Association, the DGSP and the German Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is authorized by the State Medical Association of Hesse to provide further training for the additional title of "Sports Medicine".


Dr. med. Dipl.-Chem. Michael Stellwaag

Dr. med. Dipl.-Chem. Michael Stellwaag studied chemistry and medicine at the University of Göttingen. He completed his further training as an internist and cardiologist in Oldenburg, Bremerhaven and at the Philipps University in Marburg. There he last worked as a cardiological senior physician. In addition, he is qualified as a preventive physician (DAPM). Since 8/2022 he obtained the Certificate Sportkardiologie (Stufe I) of the DGK (German Society of Cardiology). From 1993 to 1999, Dr. med Stellwaag worked as a team physician and cardiological senior physician at the German Clinic for Diagnostics (DKD) in Wiesbaden. In 2000, he founded a cardiology group practice in Wiesbaden, where he was a partner until the end of 2017 and continued to work as an employed physician until the beginning of 2021. Since April 2021, he has been supporting the team at the Frankfurt Sports Clinic to provide cardiological care to athletes there.
